The first AI College Entrance Exam assessment results are out, with GPT-4o in second place. The Shanghai AI Lab has assessed six open-source models and GPT-4o using its OpenCompass evaluation system, across the full range of Gaokao subjects including language, math, and foreign language. All tested models were launched before the Gaokao, adhering to the National New Curriculum Standard I. Seasoned teachers who are experienced in grading the Gaokao also manually evaluated the results.
