During the weekend, a few friends and I agreed to take our kids to the park for some fun. The 'seed type' children are always ahead, climbing rocks one moment and dangerously testing the waters by the pond the next – never stopping. 'Root type' children take time to warm up, sometimes only breaking the ice with unfamiliar peers just as it's time to leave. 'Flower type' children constantly call for your attention to show their findings and accomplishments, feeling lost without your interest and praise, and they may react emotionally if criticized in public. 'Trunk type' children exhibit the strongest leadership among their peers, orchestrating games, setting rules, and sternly reprimanding those who don't follow them.
