Franklin was a chemist who took experimental data very seriously. She used 'X-ray diffraction' analysis to conduct experiments for nearly a year and discovered the model deduced by Watson and Crick was incorrect. She then worked tirelessly on her research and finally in July 1952, she succeeded in taking a perfect X-ray diffraction photograph for the first time. On this photograph, the double helix structure of the DNA gene could be clearly seen, and she was the first to capture and prove that this structure indeed existed.
